Brief Description
Quality: Over time, you'll notice calcium deposits forming on your salt cell's titanium plates. To maintain the longevity of your salt system, regular cleaning is essential. The Swimables Acid Cleaning Kit is designed to work with IC15, IC20, IC40, and IC60 salt cells. It's not only affordable but also made from premium, heavy-duty plastic.
Clean Every 3 Months: Most turbo cells should be inspected and cleaned after 3 months of operation or after every 500 hours of use. The frequency of cleaning depends on your water chemistry as well. The better your water balance, the less often you need to clean!
Salt Cell Cleaning Instructions: 1. Turn off the power and deactivate the pump. 2. Use a high-pressure hose to remove calcium deposits if they are large and apparent. 4. Mix a 4:1 solution of water to muriatic acid in a clean plastic container. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS ADD ACID TO WATER, NOT WATER TO ACID
Salt Cell Cleaning Instructions Continued: 5. Place the salt cell on the Swimables Acid Cleaning Kit with the cord side down, then fill it with the solution and let it soak for 15 minutes. Repeat the process until the salt cell is clean. 6. Install the salt cell inline and press and hold the "Diagnostic" button for about three seconds. This will turn off the "Inspect Cell" light.
